The entire western facade with large picture windows that draw the light into even the most remote corners of the house and make it possible to enjoy the sea view from all the rooms. And the sea is indeed a key factor for the expression and design of the house.

Both Rie and Finn followed the renovation process closely and never compromised on the requirements for their home. Walls were torn down to create fewer but large and open rooms. The style is simple and sparse. The stringent white kitchen is from bulthaup. Wide full length Dinesen Douglas planks add a warm feel and underscore the architectural lines of the home. To pull everything together and achieve a cohesive expression, the couple chose to use planks in the same width for the outdoor patios. A choice that visually draws the scenery into the house and blends the indoor and outdoor spaces into one.

A light, almost floating staircase leads up to the second floor of the house, where the bedroom is located. Here too, the simple interior design makes room for the captivating sea view.
